Know Thyself
“Know Thyself” embarks on a journey of finding confidence within myself & reliving the turning points of my life. Growing up, I had conflicting perspectives of what I thought was confidence, & expressed it in various outlets regardless if it was the right or wrong way. When I started to compete in judo, I remember telling myself that I have to win at all costs or everything I’ve worked for was for nothing. I constantly strived for perfectionism & placed unrealistic expectations on myself as that’s what I viewed as success. “Know Thyself” pulls words of wisdom from philosopher Socrates meaning one who doesn’t know their fullest potential or believing in one’s self. Every photographer has a story of how they made a name for themselves & this is one of many chapters of my story you are invited to read.
